I bought this Night of the Living Dead Filmbook from John Russo, the author, himself. Prior to reading it, I was a fan of the movie but after reading it, I came to appreciate the meaning of the film in a historical context. MY UNCLE JOHN IS A ZOMBIE! is a screenplay written by NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD co-creator John A. Russo and centers around a zombie whose family took him in and rehabilitated him (to a degree), and he has been living in hiding all of these years. Now in a post-zombie, modern world, Uncle John is about to be discovered. The second novel is the sequel "Return of the Living Dead". Not to be confused with the film of the same name. This novel is not a spoof or comedy, but rather is a serious sequel to Night of the Living Dead set 10 years later. In it John Russo's vision is slightly different than George Romero's.
